Mission & Vision
MISSION
Â
I am here to solve common problems
by making cosmic consiousnessÂ
a practical aspect of everyday life.
If you get consistent headaches or have inconsistent digestion; if your skin is dry or your sinuses stuffed; if you've lost your libido or want to lose weight — Universe has a remedy ready for you.
If you're feeling anxious, hopeless or lost; if your relationships are stale or chaotic; if you're unsure how to make money or what gifts are yours to give — Universe has a remedy ready for you.
If you don't know where you belong; feel abandoned, a stranger in a strange land, carrying the baggage of your lineage; if you long to link your nature with Nature — Universe has a remedy ready for you.
VISION
Â
I see a world in which
humans collaborate with Nature
to allow and create the paradise
planet Earth is born to be.
Â
 “A Vision”
By Wendell Berry
If we will have the wisdom to survive,
to stand like slow-growing trees
on a ruined place, renewing, enriching it,
if we will make our seasons welcome here,
asking not too much of earth or heaven,
then a long time after we are dead
the lives our lives prepare will live
here, their houses strongly placed
upon the valley sides, fields and gardens
rich in the windows. The river will run
clear, as we never know it,
and over it, birdsong like a canopy.
On the levels of the hills will be
green meadows, stock bells in noon shade.
On the steeps where greed and ignorance cut down
the old forest, an old forest will stand,
its rich leaf-fall drifting on its roots.
The veins of forgotten springs will have opened.
Families will be singing in the fields.
In their voices they will hear a music
risen out of the ground. They will take
nothing from the ground they will not return,
whatever the grief at parting. Memory,
native to this valley, will spread over it
like a grove, and memory will grow
into legend, legend into song, song
into sacrament. The abundance of this place,
the songs of its people and its birds,
will be health and wisdom and indwelling
light. This is no paradisal dream.
Its hardship is its possibility.
Mother Earth nurtures us, gives up her body to help us grow, but a child takes without consideration for Mother's ability to give.
Humanity is pubescent, rebelling against the Mother, stealing from her wallet, scornful, resentful, testing her loving limitations.
An adult relationship with Lover Earth is empathetic, considerate, caring, mutually nurturing and generative. Time to grow up and reciprocate.Â
VALUES
Â
True wealth is the freedom to be generous.
Â
"True wealth
is the already accomplished
organization of human capabilities
to clothe
shelter feed
protect, inform
and accommodate
the initiatives of human life.
Â
"The magnitude of true wealth
consists of the number
of forward days,
of the number of human beings
already provided for."
Â
— Buckminster Fuller,
"Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth," p15
There is plenty for everybody, and that's a fact.
Income can be a measure of impact.
The gift does not exist until there is a ready recipient.
LONGING
Â
"We can choose life...
Â
"To choose life in this planet-time is a mighty adventure. As people everywhere are discovering, this adventure ignites more courage and solidarity than any military campaign. From high school students restoring streams for salmon spawning, to inner-city neighbors creating community gardens on vacant lots, from First Nations peoples blocking oil production and pipelines on their ancestral lands to village women bringing solar and water-purifying technologies to their communities — numberless people are organizing, learning, taking action.
Â
"This multifaceted human activity on behalf of life may not make today's headlines or newscasts, but to our progeny it will matter more than anything else we do. For, if there is to be a livable world for those who come after us, it will be because we have managed to make the transition from the Industrial Growth Society to a Life-Sustaining Society. When people of the future look back at this historical moment, they will see more clearly than we can now, how revolutionary our actions were.
Â
Perhaps they'll call it the time of
the Great Turning."
Â
— Joanna Macy, "Coming Back to Life," p.4
The only true antidote for existential anxiety is action on behalf of what you love.
To abide in deep time brings patience, perfect faith and profound urgency.
"Nature does not hurry, yet all is accomplished." — Lao Tzu, wise guy.
FEELS
Â
For When People Ask
By Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer
"I want a word that means
okay and not okay,
more than that: a word that means
devastated and stunned with joy.
I want the word that says
I feel it all all at once.
The heart is not like a songbird
singing only one note at a time,
more like a Tuvan throat singer
able to sing both a drone
and simultaneously
two or three harmonics high above it—
a sound, the Tuvans say,
that gives the impression
of wind swirling among rocks.
The heart understands swirl,
how the churning of opposite feelings
weaves through us like an insistent breeze
leads us wordlessly deeper into ourselves,
blesses us with paradox
so we might walk more openly
into this world so rife with devastation,
this world so ripe with joy."
Thank you for being here with me, with this evolving Earth.
I am here with you too.
The time is now.
